5 more CF cards to join the pack... but most importantly they came with a FireWire 800 reader

I have to use my old LaCie HDD that has all the ports as an adapter to daisy chain it and use it with my FW400 devices (don't have anything natively 800) but it works!

So I made the mistake shortly after the move to dig out my nephews old HBX 16889A-Pro from storage.  I charged the batteries and have been ripping it about at a local pump track and have gotten a taste back for it so...

I've gotten myself a couple of sticks of "rechargeable C4" from CNHL's new UK warehouse..

Spoiler

PXL_20240317_105653181.thumb.jpg.9f4b9a89c735de07eb13b6ffb846303e.jpg

and a Surpass Hobby 150A ESC and 4068 2650Kv brushless motor combo from Ali Express..

I intend to put them in a buggy roller I got coming from Ali Express also.  Rave reviews on Youtube and a 3rd of the price of a Arrma Typhon roller...

Edit:  There's nothing wrong with that XT90 on the ESC it just got squished a bit while i was putting it on there.  the damned thing came with two XT60 plugs and I knew I wanted to run single packs

Bought a lil laser printer (the HL-L2370DW) for a whopping $40 because it's been our display model since about Q1 2018. Only printed off 11 pages before my ownership. Just need to clean up the remainder of the sticker residue plus the sticker residue on the back right corner from one of our ancient signage dealios we had on it.

With franchise you mean a total of two games?

There is multiple community mods worth playing. One of them is portal story mel.

Yeah justthe two game. The second game was more enjoyable. I liked the recordings from Cave Johnson. The first game was cool, but in my opinion it was more a proof on concept.

I played a little bit of Portal 2 and want to buy it for myself. It's also on sale for under a dollar, but when I added it to my cart on Steam, it said it was already in my cart. But it's not part of the Orange box, I don't think. So I'll be getting it to.

Back in 08 I started playing Dwarf Fortress and played portal for the first time. And here I am in 2024 buying Dwarf Fortress and Portal (though this Dwarf Fortress is a completely new version).

Horribly overpriced for a serpentine belt but I needed it that moment and despite having at least 8 of these 88-98 chevys as farm trucks there wasn't a single belt in storage

Recently acquired a 36" Trinitron. It's got component and S-Video inputs, so I picked up:

- Wii component display cable

- PS2 S-video display cable

N64 just gets regular composite. Was originally going to get S-video for the N64, but I also use the PS2 as a DVD player

You can get a dbrand Skin for your iPhone X, they're still available: https://dbrand.com/shop/skins/iphone-x-skins

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

Yep, just a big downgrade to 64gb. I'm looking to go for something refurbished, maybe around an iphone 14ish. All depends on what I can get a good deal on. If you can't tell I don't like to buy new phones, mostly because the only thing I use mine for are podcasts/music, crappy pictures, youtube, and infrequent gaming when I'm super bored, so why buy a new phone

If I remember correctly there's no RGB natively for the N64 not without some pretty destructive mods?  So it may look better through RF? providing the analogue side of the TV is up to snuff.  Rather than component anyways

Bought a second 5-port HDMI switch from UGreen because I have 8 devices and 2 ports on my TV. I'm hoping I can daisy-chain the switches because running the Apple TV through a switch breaks HDMI CEC (aka I can't turn my TV on and off with just that remote when I'm on a TV binge).

DeWalt 5AH power stack is on sale on Amazon for $90 so I grabbed one. Not an amazing sale but it's still a sale. I've been needed an extra battery so having one that does the beans without the bulk will be nice.

Great deal on some video cards. EVGA 9800GTX and 8800GTS cards, Radeon 2600XTX, and an unidentified small lad.

image.png.36ce2168c11d16cfe1130a70f0919cf2.png

If even one of these works, I'll have gotten my money's worth.

Then yknow... the ordinary 5-computers-a-month purchase. I call it "Computermaxxing"; it's a new trend.

Latest of interest have been TouchSmart IQ770 (weird touchscreen AIO thing before the market for that existed), three different limited edition HP Pavilion laptops w/nice custom paint jobs, and a nice Pavilion with GeForce 9600 graphics.

Finally bought some fans for my PC. I fucked up the cable for my stock AIO fans the day I got it when I was desleeving it, and when I took it apart to clean the connector came off sooooo it was time for a replacement. Plus side is these are black instead of having white blades so now the only thing that stands out in my system are the lil A40x20's that cool my SSDs.

Now I'm just waiting on CableMod to hurry the fuck up so I can have the correct length 24 pin and EPS cables, and then I'll finally be able to put the side panels back on this thing.

Just bought this set of weather shields for my car, as I continue to turn it into something that resembles a car driven by an old bloke. Also just ordered some new wiper blades as I don't like the ones that are on it currently.
