3 months ago got one, and this one was, well for you maybe there is a joke to tell it was under discount for 120 euros.

Probably in USA you can get it lot lot cheaper.

Luckly I have X570 board which can take advantage of it's whole speed.

Though I dunno what to do with them, all I know is that I wanted among the fastest PCI-E gen 4 nvme.

Now I have 2 KC3000 x 1TB.

BTW Merry X-mas to all nice and kind people here, specially for ones who helped me a lot here.

Finally got around to buying a GPU.

I got this one:

Spoiler

image.thumb.png.ff4a5110eeeb1f725cd5923bee845313.png

Because I got it two weeks ago instead of waiting for boxing day deals, I paid an extra $50. And it has coil whine... fml. Tempted to just return it. Went ahead and tried running a GPU stress test on it (Geeks3D GpuTest). After 30 minutes or so, max temps was 86˚C and coil whine seems to be gone.... And then it comes back when I stop the test and redo it. Weird, man...

Then, yesterday I ordered more stuff for my PC. An extra 16GB of RAM(Modded Minecraft+Server hosting consume a LOT) and a new 2TB SSD for my games. I can finally play newer games and VR games now that I replaced my scuffed HD7970Ghz, but these games are MASSIVE. My 500GB SSD can barely handle a handful of them at best.

I’ve got two and with what I paid for them as long as one has a good core I’m in the green. These days off are going to be busy for me. I’ve got a stack of cards and boards I need to finish up. Plus the old lady is wanting to start a Scum server so I have to play with that learn the admin commands and get her learned up.

Been trying to figure out what I want to do when she tells me no more mining and so far it seems like part time job + component repair is it. I’m spoiled at my current job so I don’t know how well I’d do under actual supervision again. It’s a mine owned by a corporate company 3 time zones away. I have 3 levels above me out here but them and corporate all are of the “I don’t want to know what exactly you do or how you do it, just get it done.” Amounts to ordering parts and stocking what the mechanics need but gives me a lot more freedom to change vendors and all that. Fiancé is starting to not like my 2 weeks gone 2 weeks home schedule now that baby fever really is kicking in.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I've finally decided to start prioritizing rebuilding my server because I've had the realization that I really need to get some redundancy going, otherwise a single drive failure can cause a lot of brain pain (such as the 8TB drive holding nearly 6TB of Plex content). First step: the case. Not happy that it's so expensive, but supposedly can fit 14 drives natively.

Yep. Some 3rd party seller had it on sale at Wal-Mart's website for $29.99. I figured it was either a pricing error or a scam, but for $30 I was going to shoot my shot regardless. It arrived early, was a TV, and free shipping. Was a very Merry Christmas for me that's for sure.

Didn't really anticipate this but here we are. Mom sent me a 90 dollarydoo Amazon card so I bought Pokémon Shield and the PSU for said file server. There's nothing wrong with the NEX 650G1 I'm using now (ignoring the kind of janky fan situation), but it's been in active duty in some form or another for something like 8 years so I may as well upgrade it. That and I'm pretty sure the RM750x will allow for more hard drive connections with less jank, which is another bonus point.

Got 100 in Amazon cards for the holidays so I decided to upgrade my microphone and get more RAM from a good RAM company

Screenshot_20221226-224916.thumb.png.c99e4830c20f0bb913b777eb7beb58ee.png

Now I can upgrade to 64gb ram if I so choose.

I'm going to daily drive my schure sm57 and sell my blue snowball ice (used market only worth about 15 bucks but whatever)

I can hear it's not as crisp as I once thought.

Also going to sell my 16gb RAM DDR4. That's worth like $50.

Got the che revolution book cuz it's only $6 and curious to learn about the revolution in Cuba from his perspective. I only learned about select parts of the Cuban missile crisis in school.

I'm not a political hack though. I try to learn all philosophy and ideals. You learn a lot by being actual friends with your grandparents or those of grandparent age.

I have a UR22 from 2014~2015. It's a USB 2.0 44.1. I already have the sm57. I had it for years but never had a stand.

Maybe it was the headsets I had or something... Previously I used the Sennheiser hd280 but now I'm using the Sennheiser hd 58X and I think I can hear more. At the very least I did a "YouTube test" and maybe with compression they sound exactly the same, but I don't like the way the snowball sounds anymore.

The mic and headset use the UR22 for audio processing which was what made a huge difference compared to onboard audio. With Apple dirty buds when I had them, I could hear a difference in quality just by using the interface.

Also it's the UR22, not the UR22MKII.

As I said in my original statement, I think it was a pricing error OR the 3rd party seller was playing Santa Claus or had an overstock, perhaps. I don't know the reason it was $30 for a 65" 4K TV, but I'm not complaining. I am indeed very, VERY lucky, haha.

Makes sense the older 280 is super narrow sounding like no sound stage.

The 58x are pretty wide.

UR22's is a respectful interface.

It's not even like the sound stage.

It's like.. the snowball is flat or muted; sounds kinda like a higher quality razer gaming headset mic if that makes sense.

Idk... Getting rid of it now.

Hopefully someone will be happy to get it for like $10~.

It was 40$ 6 years ago. MSRP brought it to 50 or 60 now.

Easy mic.
