I've been dropping one of those off my couch for probably 8 years now. There's a software update for those that makes a HUGE difference in battery life and connection stability as well as fixing some security issues. Once I did that it's been 107% solid keyboard. It slides off my couch onto the floor 2-3 times a day or more, 30lb dog loves to walk, stand, lay, sit, and lick it. My only complaint is that the back IS so slippery, I need something to make it grippy that doesn't grab dog hair and dirt.

Funny part is they are pretty cheap compared to others in big box stores I got them at Walmart for like 5.41.

Honestly with current 18350 and 18650 cell capacities and prices I'm not sure they're such a good deal anymore. The lack of self discharge is nice but you can't recharge them so the cost of the rechargeable battery keeps dropping each time you recharge it compared to buying new 123's. I can get a 3400mah protected 18650 for $15 and re-charge it 200 times before the capacity starts to fall off. Say I only use 2800 of the 3400 battery capacity because I'm not an animal that runs my lights till 100% dead...that's 500,000 mah I've used. What's that cost in 123's?

Of course not all lights CAN run rechargeable batteries and that's fine. I make sure I buy lights that can use rechargeable cells because that 123 habit gets expensive.

Well I am using a streamlight and it doesnt like rechargeable batteries (goes to full blast) thats why I bought some 123, as for 18650 lights I just dont like how big they are.

Pending on the light, some surefires and other brands pull to hard of a load for rechargeables to handle but yes your correct with your evaluation. In a pinch the surefire 123's are good one off batteries to have on the shelf when power is out. They say they are 10 year shelf life but I had a pair for 15'ish and still held most of its charge so great if you're in prepper mode. 👍

I guess my other gripe is I wish it were backlit. Seems to be no one had figured out that these kinds of keyboards are used in dim rooms.

It would be a nice option, but it would also eat into battery life.

Sapphire RX 6700 Pulse

It fills my case up a bit more, is quieter than my previous small RTX 3060 XC, has better performance than the latter and is better for my Linux experimentation.

Only thing that sucks is that I thougth it was a good deal, but the price keeps dropping for some reason. I paid 380 and now it goes for 365, which is a bargain for that thing.
