Install virtualbox and start creating virtual machines with various Linux distros to play around with. 

 

This doesn't require a gaming rig, but it helps to have ample CPU and RAM headroom to run multiple OS's simultaneously.

It's a magical place where "humans" are. Some even want to be near you! Amazing, huh? The Outside is great. The view is gorgeous as well.

 

It is also referred to as the "outernet"

 

 

not implying people don't want to be near you already just sayin there's more humans out there

I have been to this "outside", the graphics are amazing, but the NPCs are annoying as hell and if you don't import your own soundtrack the default is piss poor

Try out game development! Unity is a great, free engine that's powerful, simple, and has a huge assets store to get models, scripts, and other such things from.

I hear that Outside is pretty GPU-intensive... It looks pretty bad without AA, would a 760 cut it? I want to get those ultra textures, but I'm not sure if my computer has enough memory... Maybe I'll download some more later?

No, you need at least 2 Titan Zs in SLI for the full experience.
