Run Corsair Stock fan at low RPMS?

mattviapc

Is it possible to run the corsair stock fan lower than the lowest setting on the fan controller just so they can move some air that they can be silent?

Thanks

Edit: On a 650D

The stock fans from the (old) Hydro series run fine and very quiet at 5 volts. Even 7 volts they're pretty quiet. 12 volts is a joke. For best results use a 3rd party fan controller.

Ohh, no experience with Corsair cases. I guess if you really need to go lower than the low setting, use a resistor+low. Though the fan most likely will not spin up w/o a push.

Im sure as when I turn the fans off my pc is silent. When I plug in the fans there is a noticeable difference.

Stock Corsair fans : they suck i.m.o

I replaced them all.

And the "fan controller" is not better as it only undervolts them a few volts.

Try it. If it works it works. But you should just buy some better fans if you've got the spare cash to do so.
