All new games were complete shit imo, im ALWAYS struggling to find something to play for longer then a week.. NO new releases until end of the year..

yeah im basically done and super bored when im at home

is gaming shit this year or am i just getting older?

I think it is you getting older. I went through the same spell when I turned 17, I wanted to play games but nothing just clicked with me. Took me 5 years before I started getting into it again, now it comes and goes in spurts. Like right now, I have 158 games on my computer I could be playing, but instead I'm on this forum. Why? Because I'm just in a spurt where I don't feeling like playing much.

Holy crap, this describes me. When I get bored and can't go on our Xbox, I jump on my computer and start playing GTA: Vice City and seeing how long it takes me to go from 6 starts to none (modded handling.cfg file, so much fun).

Sounds like what I do with watch dogs. Get the max cops on me, either die or escape them. Then quit playing lol

Nothing better than an 8000kg Banshee plowing into 1500kg cops while going 200+ miles an hour with practically no damage on the Banshee (gunshots, explosions, and rollovers still hurt)... :D

There just is no fun games... everything just seems deja vu at this point. Racing games and shmups are an exception though (at least for me)

I'm on the same boat too xD now that I have time for gaming I am instead browsing topics on this forum. Part of it is due to the fact that the sc2 season is over and the bonus pool is locked, but even then I just play a few games a day anyway. In other periods I'd o nothing but gaming in my free time. Lol, mysteries of gaming.

I just find the forum to be more interesting than most games since I've played the crap out of most of them. That will change this August (hopefully) when a few nice gents on here plan to give me parts for a new rig. Battlefield 3, here I come.

There are no good racing games for PC. That's were the consoles thrive. I still love GT5/6 to this day.

You have to remember that the big titles are typically released during the fall or around the holidays.

 

We do get GTA V this year, but we do need to see the quality of the port before counting that. By quality I mean it doesn't run like shit like GTA IV did.

Evolve is also set for an October release, and it looks amazing from both a gameplay and graphics perspective.

I am not a real LotR fan, but Shadow of Mordor definitely looks promising.

Borderlands 2: The Presequel will certainly be enjoyable for fans of the franchise. Yes it's a filler while they are working on Borderlands 3, but I'll be happy to plunk down $35-$40 to play as Claptrap the first time the game goes on sale.

Arkham Origins was supposed to come out this year, but the early next year delay is worth it IMO if they get things right.

Give it another 18 months or so and we will start to see some more big name, and better looking titles. Soooooo many studios rely on the Unreal Engine, so they are all busy working with thew new UE4 engine for their next titles.

Damn, also forgot Farcry 4 and Alien Isolation.

It's just the Ps4/XboxOne launch.

Most games that seem really promising are coming out 2015-2016.

This is just the typical transition phase between generations.

Most devs are working now on next Gen titles and the change takes some time.

And the ones that are releasing cross platform spread their resources really thin which you can feel in the last few releases since Ps4/XboxOne launch.

I feel the same. I am 15 years and I have an Xbox 360 and a gaming laptop, and I got bored of games before 1 year ago. Before that, I was playing Trials Evolution on Xbox 360 like mad, and couldn't leave that game. But then it became old because old bugs that didn't got patched and the community user contents went less and less quality content was made, so I stopped. There is a sequel now out called Trials Fusion, but that is messed up, has downgraded features and is slow on fixing, thanks to Ubisoft. Now since, I am browsing the Internet way more than playing games, and I don't know when a good longevity game will be evolved, perhaps The Crew? I hope it's not casual difficulty and driving, and servers not being trashy.
