Twitch.tv's new player enables watching at 60fps

Gunrun (Twitch Employee) Tweeted that the new Twitch player allows watching streams at 60fps.

What are your thoughts on this? Is it pointless?, i haven't been able to check it out yet myself.

60fps for everything, lets hope games start to follow suite.

That's funny because I've been streaming at 60FPS way before.

considering you can send streams at 60 fps to twitch, i assumed this was a thing already? may be wrong.

I know YouTube just got an update to 60fps though
