I hate Time Warner (rant)

SrN95

One day my ping is 30, with 22Mbps download, the next I deal with this...

Contacted them multiple times complaining, each time taking about an hour before my internet "magically" becomes fine again. Then they provide me with this service. It's not even like I'm torrenting and they throttle me like this, this is just out of the blue.

I wish there were other options, but sadly, there are not :(

google fiber me pls

I pay for 800k down, 200k up. I also run a website on that connection.

The sad part is, even with those BS numbers i am not getting anywhere near what is advertised.

DAT PING, wow.

From what I have know/read, the more people on cable in your area the slower speed you get.
Can somebody else correct that if I am wrong.

I was getting ripped of with 2mb for $49.95 a month when I saw on my internets webpage that I could get 10mb for the same price. I called up the company and they raised the price by another $5 for some reason but I accepted and now I can play BF4 64 man servers with no lag. Still pisses me off when I hear Google Fiber is coming to Austin and you can get something like 1000mb I think. I am never paying for cable in the future either. They want to raise the price of your bill each month up to $130...Netflix for $8 a month for all the tv shows and movies I could possibly want will do just fine...

Now, you know what you can expect from these barbarians. They are a race of rabid BASTARDS that will fight us tooth and nail! But they don't know what they're up against. Cyrodiil, is CIVILIZATION! Cyrodiil, is ORDER! Cyrodiil is POWER! And out here, WE. ARE. CYRODIIL.

I live in Fort Wayne Indiana. I will be the last person in the whole US to get fiber I bet. Dallas is major, hold out hope. You have a chance.

I may be in Dallas and I do love it here, but I plan on moving to Austin maybe...Beautiful city with upcoming blazing fast internet speeds.

I have Comcast and I pay about 100 bucks for TV and Internet. The speeds are decent. But I still hate Comcast.

They are somewhat reliable. As much as I hate comcast I must admit this.

Literally the same thing happened to me (internet speed and whatnot) and the line/wiring was messed up where I lived. They came out and fixed it the next week and everything worked fine.

This was with time warner as well

I remember when I used to be with an ISP called Clearwire. Think that ping is bad? Try dealing with quad digits at times - there is a reason they are my old ISP.
