Best communication software? (Poll)

I currently use Skype. I'm curious if there's any bandwidth or latency difference between each program. 

 

And I'm also curious to see which one will actually win...

I find Teamspeak works better for large multilplayer games like 64-man BF4 and other games with many people playing on the same server at once. Many popular servers on BF4 have dedicated teamspeak IPs you can connect to and talk to your team.

 

If you're just playing with one or two friends use Skype.

 

Still voting Teamspeak though.

I like skype because I video call a lot, and its easy for tech noobs to use (such as my parents and grandparents)

Skype also has no problems as long as your internet speed is fast enough.

My friends and I use Dolby Axon. All of us agree that it's x10¹⁰⁰ better than Skype. Never tried the other solutions posted. Well, except for Skype, of course.

Teamspeak or mumble. I highly dislike skype due to it's bad quality once you get a load of people on. Also TS3 can support loads of people.

I've used Vent and Teamspeak throughout my Warcraft career and I like Teamspeak the most. The voice activation really sells it for me.

Dedicated teamspeak server and the client has loads of options and some fun plugins.

 

I kinda forced all my gaming friends off of Skype and onto Teamspeak because Skype is crap. They still have Skype for personal friends, but F that noise!

Mumble. Very simple, fast and light weight. Great sound quality. All the settings I need from a voice comm software. No bullshit.

 

No one seems to use Ventrilo anymore. At least not in my immediate circles. Same with Razer Comms and Google Hangouts. Used Skype only a few times, a bit more for work related things. TeamSpeak is ok but it has a lot of useless junk, the interface is a bit too bloated and the sound quality hasn't matched that of Mumble's on any server I've been on. TS also lacks attenuation and I found it more difficult to set up the first time compared to Mumble.

This is a very subjective topic. TS3 offers the best features, IMO, but it costs money. Mumble may lack in features, but I can get a 5 person server 100% for free and it has a free mobile app as well. Hangouts is free but not everyone likes Google or wants to create a Google account. Skype is free but is 100% unsecure, you can obtain the IP address of anyone you are chatting with, and requires a Microsoft account.

I use TeamSpeak myself. I run a TeamSpeak server for me and a few friends on a super low powered VPS from Ramnode (1 core processor @ 2GHz w/ 256mb RAM) with plenty of power to spare. Both the client and server are really light weight. The sound quality and connection reliability are much better than Skype, and to me seems on par with Mumble. The Mumble server package is easier to set up on a Ubuntu server, but since I'm used to the TeamSpeak setup and configuration at this point, I don't really see a need to switch.
