Because physics.

Seriously. The light comes from the LEDs. There are 4 and they are aimed in that way to cover as much of the fan as possible. It's just how it worked out.

It looks that way because the LED's are in that shape and you can see them because they're pointing at you.

It depends on how many LED's the fan has. Those have 4.

Enermax fans have more LED's and they look like this

Makes no sense that they would do four LED's when they know it looks like the nazi logo. I would have gone 5 leds.

Because Corsair is the Fourth Reich. Duh!

The stone cannot know why the chisel cleaves it; the iron cannot know why the fire scorches it. When thy life is cleft and scorched, when death and despair leap at thee, beat not thy breast and curse thy evil fate, but thank the Builder for the trials that shape thee.

It doesn't look like that in person and in low light.

Have you not seen Captain America: The Winter Soldier? If not, hail Hydra!

My dream build is a watercooled 450D or 750D with a i7-4930k and 2 780 Ti's in SLI. My realistic build is a $1500 budget build.

I need a job.

just the right frequency of the LED, the right frequency of the fan i suppose... like this

I don't think so, its because the acrylic bends the light as it spins, looking at the frequency of the light is over thinking it

it does not bend the light.... light travels at a speed so great the movement of acrylic is nothing. and believe me, its the frequency, and the positioning of the leds

They only look like that when you take a picture, and some times when you record video depending on how fast the fan is spinning that the frame rate that the video is recorded at. In person the full fan lights up. It's brighter at the points where the LEDs are located obviously, but it doesn't look the same as it does when you take a picture.

I disagree, refract is what I meant by bend, the

Acrylic refracts the light
