My PC ATM:

i5 4670K (currently stock, upgrade very soon)

MSI Z87-G45 Gaming

Kingston HyperX Beast 2x4GB 1600Mhz

MSI TF GTX660 (Picked off my perivous build, going to be replaced with a 780)

WD Red 2TB (SSD coming soon)

FSP Aurum CM 750W

Cooler Master HAF XM922

I am going to finish this hopefully until christmas, planning to use it for like 3 years or so, my next build shall feature Volta GPU, I think that would be the time when the 780 won't last.

I would pick another psu but that's just me, and a different case but again personal prefference. good build all in all

I'm to lazy to list my upcoming first rig http://pcpartpicker.com/user/airtree/saved/24VL  Also of course i'm waiting for the 9970 if my sig hasn't told you anything.

I am too not 100% sure if that PSU was a good choice, because it uses 4 16.67A rails, opposed to HX750 from Corsair which uses a single 62A rail and is actually cheaper. F*ck. But to your build: A really good choice, I am not much into small form-factor PCs but this one is nice. Not sure about cooling opposed to bigger cases but I presume it is good. The thing I don't understand is why would you need Dominator RAM? You can get Vengeance Pro for a significantlly lower price. Also I would consider Asus 780 combinedd with a ROG board, but you can't go wrong with EVGA at all.

I'm waiting for the 9xxx series, and the dominator ram is just for the looks and it costs about the same as vengance pro, and the 350D is not much of the form factor type case i just went with it because it's the closest i can get to the 900D without the cost of the 900D.

An ancient GT 210 that I had to borrow from my friends 2005 rig lol

ah, that might be a little problem. If you can hold out to middle september i'd go with the 9970, but if you really need a new gpu now i guess the 7xx series is a good option. Just a word of warning, the 9970 will be a titan killer. soooooo

If there is one around the 770 range both price and performance than I will. But if it is released too late I'll have to go with a 770

YO GUYS!!! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO RATE THE RIG ABOVE YOURS WHEN YOU POST THAT'S HOW THIS THREAD WORKS

Very nicely balanced rig, shows that you don't have to spend massive amounts for a still good performing rig. For possible future upgrades I think you should do the GPU first, a r9 270x would be great for the current components. (Trying to get thread back on track). Also, what cooler did you use, thats a nice OC. 8/10

Thank you. My budget was around 750 a few years ago and it's still doing me well today. I use a hyper 212+ :) Like linus said, I think the 150-175$ cards is the most you should ever spend

Originally I had 16GB. The 12GB RAM was after I have to transfer 4GB to my brother's rig when one 4GB of his 8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM sticks went bad. So I gave one module to him to allow him to run 8GB RAM on Dual Channel again. The Zotac was on offer after nVidia Price cut the 760, 770 and 780. Since at that point of time in Singapore, Zotac was the first and the only brand that was offering GPUs at price cuts before other board partners followed suit way late, I decided to jump in straightaway. My mind was torn between the 780 (triple fan) and the 780 Ti (Which was a Reference Cooler one). And since the 780 was already heavily overclocked from the get go it made little sense to spend significantly more for the Ti Card.
