Irony? WD spanks Seagate even while WD sleeps.

Horrible luck or you abused them.

They are equal.

Velociraptor > SSHD > WD Black > Barracuda > Blue.

All equally reliable.

I recommend the barracuda 90% of the itme because its faster than a 1tb blue for the same price.

Still WD is just fine.

Are 4tb drives more likely to be DOA, Or do they have a higher failure rate then say a 2tb drive?

I'm that guy with the GPD Win.

Greens are way too slow. Seagate drives are even faster than blues. They are not faster than blacks, but are at a much better price point.

Greens aren't for speed. They're for mass storage with low noise, heat, and power consumption.

Barracuda has got a 3x bigger failure rate than the WD blue though.

I had a Barracuda for backup, back idea. Drive died second time I put it into the computer.

My new WD 2TB failed on initial start up, now I have 2 other WD HDD's and they are working 3+ years solid. HDD's are just a gamble.

Sauce. Your own personal experience doesn't count. You are a tiny tiny sample size. They are about equally reliable. Otherwise one of their names would be trash like Hitachi was for a while.
