I'm using 2ms monitor and I wouldn't switch to 7ms. Anything over 5ms is a no no.

GTG response times are not really the best way to compare monitors. Input lag is way more important. I have the s2240m and there is minimal lag and everything looks nice and sharp!(I might even buy this and use the s2240m as a second display when i get a bigger desk). Highly recommend getting on this deal NOW before it's too late!!

but still 7ms plus lets say a 5ms is still more than 2ms and 5ms, i dont really recommend ips for extreme gamers as they wont benefit for the good colors and anglesl,k they need twitch action, i have 2 ips monitors now and i will not get a 3rd, i will get a 2ms tn displayport, hdmi with a aux jack for my 3rd

The monitor might fare much better than the 7ms listed. HP for example rates some of their monitors at 14ms, and they actually perform in the low 6's.

It's not always an accurate number.

 that is true, i use a 7ms ips from hp and it does not feel much diffrent from a 5ms i used at my friends place, but i would still suggest tn for twitch action gamers, just my opinion, but it is a good monitor none the less, would be good for creative pros

Lol, you wouldn't even know difference between 2ms or 8ms monitor..

Anything below 10ms is just fine. Especially when you've got barely any input lag.

 

Reaction speeds is the most overhyped thing about monitors.. and people still fall for it  :blink:

I use this one, Its an IPS panel. Great colors and cheap. Rather have better colors than faster response times for monitors.

I own this monitor in the downsized 21.5" version and it has to be hands down the best monitor line for the price. The screen has a tint that's a little too yellowish out of the box but this can be easily corrected. I very highly recommend using Screenwhite to adjust your monitor's colours. It's much faster than using the crappy OSD on the monitors since you can just use your mouse. (completely free with no ads or anything btw) http://screenwhite.com/screenbright/

 

For the S2240M I have the current settings on screenwhite that i have are: warmth -3 and green +1  this seems to give me the most color accurate picture. 

 

As a testament to this monitor, the other day a friend asked me what graphics settings I was running bf4 at because it looked really good.. turns out I was using the same graphics settings as his, it's just that my monitor looked a heck of a lot better than the Asus TN monitor that actually cost twice as much that he bought!
