The Utterly Imbalanced CaseLabs TX10-D build(s)!

VSG

A standard 15A circuit on a standard 120V line can handle 1800W. Due to the gold rating, the 1600G2 will pull about 1675-1700W at full load which is highly unlikely at the volts safe on water. A monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers etc pull another 100W max for most configurations. Since I am not going to be benching them when the other rig is on, I will be fine. I also know one of the circuits in my room has a 20A breaker so that's another 600W of buffer room :)

Still, that is a shitload of wattage you have there.

I am only having the 1600G2 and 750G2 in the build as I mentioned in the update. When both rigs will be on, I won't be benching so max power draw will be ~1200W or so (very likely <1000 W). Why do you still think I will have an issue?

Depending on how the blocks perform on Haswell-E, I might give you a good deal on it if you want. But I really have a hard time recommending Koolance products to anyone given their ridiculous warranty policy and their stubborn reps sticking to it even when their product is clearly at fault. Also, this and this.

I'm debating on whether I want the koolance 380i, or to stick by EK and get that plexi+gold supremacy block or a plain nickel+plexi.

If you are having colored coolant, get the cheapest variant- copper only. Once coolant is in there, it all looks the same. The one advantage the gold plated block has is resistance to corrosion but I am sure you got that covered in the coolant anyway.

Why is everyone going yellow lately? Why not purple, orange etc?

If it is because more and more people are going with MSI M/X Power boards then that's a good enough reason for me. Great boards backed by good customer support too!

I don't, I just cant comprehend the use of both. (In a good way)

I would go orange, but I'm not really a fan of orange and my cousin is doing an orange build right now (he lives upstairs in my house)

I really like yellow builds when they're done right, it seems to contrast other colors like black +silver + grey really well.

(I also think the m/x z97 boards are some of the best looking z97 boards so that helps as well, and I've also played around with the software in windows and thought it was 500000000x more usable and user friendly than my RIVE's software for windows)

Now that I know more of what to do when watercooling, I should be able to make it look much better this time 'round. (my current build was my first attempt)

No different than 2 PSUs in 2 computers. This case has 2 entirely different rigs in it, so it should have a minimum of 2 PSUs.

Ya, same here. My 900D build wasn't even done fully (missing a few mods and lighting) when this happened. Have you decided if you are sticking to the 900D or going smaller? It would depend on the rads you got as very few cases can accommodate dual 480 rads.

Ya, this is one unique case. It has two sets of power/reset switches at the front too. The way I will have it is in a corner with two desks on either side of it parallel to the walls.

Thanks. This has just started too!

I was thinking of going smaller, something around the size of the r4.

I was debating on the r4 for sure, because I can stick a 360 in the front, and a 240 in the top, and do the tubing really nice and clean-like.  (Remove the 5 1/4 inch bays to fit the 360 in front)

I'm debating on acrylic, since the way I planned the loop it'd be extremely easy to tube up I reckon.

The R4 is an LTT cliche I would think. It is nowhere near as good for watercooling as other cases in the same form factor. If price a concern? That Caselabs S8 with front and side windows will look great with a nice reservoir and loop.

Acrylic can get expensive if you don't have the parts (bending, cutting, spare in case of bad bends/cuts etc) but these days hard line is a must to get builds really noticed.

10+ notifications just from this post. noice.

That's because everyone has come in to see your new banner. Speaking of which, another company has confirmed sponsorship now lol. Can't say much more at this time.

I love the S8, but I dunno if I can live with the price tag, it's like $500 with the options I want :/

I cant think of any other small cases around the r4's size besides maybe the arc midi that I can jam a 240 and a 360 in, and still have a nice res inbetween the front rad, and the GPU.

If you chance your mind and decide you want another TX10 instead, I know a guy who bought one but then realized he has no room for it. That last picture I put up of the door, rad mounts etc was from him at a great price lol.

If you'd like the banner soon, PM me, I'm leaving for 2 weeks.

I won't let this get between you and what is hopefully a vacation. I will just let you know when you are back, thanks for the offer :)

I really like that s8 a lot, I still think the r4 is the simplest for what I was gonna do, but I just dunno.

There's so many cases that can fit the things I want in the form factor, but so many of them have issues I don't want, the h440 is nice, but doesn't have a black on black option for the color, I don't really like the side panel window, nor the fact that it has that big cover thing inside the case, as it'd block the res + rad in the front.

I just dunno what to choose, I don't think the r4 looks amazing outside, but inside it has everything I need so idk.

It wont get in between anything. If you're unable to, then it's fine.

It's more of the company wanting to wait till a certain product is released. That's why I am waiting. But even if this clears up immediately, I don't want to request a banner with every sponsor change either. So do you think it is a good idea to just get rid of the name(s) and just say "Sponsored"?

Can you go over to a Frys/Microcenter and take a look at cases in person? It would really help I bet.

@VSG I did already, the only things I liked were the air 540, and r4 for what I have in mind, but the air 540 won't work, because I have to mount the res inbetween the GPU and sidepanel.  Fry's near my house has nearly zero cases, and most of them are crappy corsair low-end crap.
