Well, it's not the font that's blocked, but alternate distributions of it, which honestly I find perfectly fair

Not every site is going to use the same distribution of the font. If one distribution allows it, then the others should be allowed too.

??? Googles are built in and it makes sense that you cant put others in, its a school you expect that you cant add add on's. Heck the only time that I have was photoshop. School is not burger king you work as creativity in the walls as possible, heck that's life in general.

Last I checked a font wasn't an addon. It's a core part of the system that has absolutely no reason to be blocked.

Comic Sans has been around for longer than a good chunk of the people on this site at this point. HTML has to load it externally because it doesn’t contain the functionality to do that built in. Using the that logic, you could say that using code at all on an HTML page is an add on.

We have to load the font from the web rather than your computer because Comic Sans MS is owned by Microsoft (hence the MS) and is therefore not installed by default on all other operating systems (it may be on some non-MS platforms, but not all). If we relied on a built-in font, it would not be blocked here - that's why the fallback font works fine.
