Bottleneck Calculator :(

Hi Guys.

I recently bought a new pc with an i7-12700k, RTX 3060 and 32gb DDR4.

I've had my current PC for 5 years and it's on it's last legs. My new pc is due to arrive in the coming days however i put the specs into a bottleneck calculator and it says i'll have a 20% CPU bottleneck.

Is this really bad?

Thanks.

The calculator is completely wrong and you will not be CPU bottlenecked.  You are GPU bottlenecked ( This is good, means the GPU will run as fast as it can, this is what you want )

Bottlenecking is very misunderstood by the average consumer, I can explain in further detail if you want.

Bottlenecking is not dangerous and is not harmful to any components.

The 12700k and 3060 pair very well together and is a balanced system.

Thanks! I'm new to pc parts and worried me a little seeing the 20% Bottleneck XD. Put my mind at ease thank you!

Yeah dont use em they are bullshit.

Having a bottleneck isnt even a bad thing per se. Like your gpu is defo not going to make your cpu work too hard in most games. Which is great! Means your gpu will usually always go full blast and if you ever upgrade you can go pretty darn high end without ending up with a gpu that'll be underutilized which again isnt a bad thing either 😛

According to the "bottleneck calculator" the 4090 is 20% bottlenecked by a 7800X3D at 4k resolution.

The 2990WX 2nd gen thread ripper is a good match apparantly 😃

This tells you all you need to know about them.
