Watch Dogs will not run on Dual-core CPUs

I would love to see the Passmark scores for the Xbone and PS4's CPUs (if it's even possible)

That is easy. Take a 6300FX underclock it to like 1.0-1.3 ghz and take a hammer to the better cache on the 6300fx. "Next Gen" consoles have 1.6 and 1.7 ghz AMD mobile cpu's and only 6 cores are available to game developers. 2 are locked to run their mickey mouse online ad venture service and OS in the background.

CPU:24/7-4770k @ 4.5ghz/4.0 cache @ 1.22V override, 1.776 VCCIN. MB: Z87-G41 PC Mate. Cooling: Hyper 212 evo push/pull. Ram: Gskill Ares 1600 CL9 @ 2133 1.56v 10-12-10-31-T1 150 TRFC. well maybe they won't play on c2d or pentiums

Yup. That is what I am thinking. Game will be hard wired for 3-4 threads, which the Duo Core's can't do and they prob do sound on one or something with the other two being the main game and one being at extremely high usage compared to the other threads running (since it isn't a Mantle or a DX 12 game). The mighty e8400 is about to die. It had a good run.

I would bet the house I3's with HT run the game and prob run it well. The 4770k requirement is BS. Probably because the 4770k has the highest stock turbo and this is your standard garbage Ubisoft port.

Ubisoft claimed you needed a quad in AC 4 and the difference between a Quad and a Duo was 5 fps. I don't believe a damn thing Ubisoft says at this point and haven't for a long time.

I have no idea why next gen titles all state that i7 is a recommended CPU like watch dogs and Wolfenstein. Although we have seen Wolfenstein running of a quad core or even a dual core CPU.

The game is very CPU heavy. This is where HT or more cores really does matter.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. Yet, it can run on Xbox 360 & PS3. I love this game devs who lie about their games are so hard to run on low end hardware, yet I can play all games (including Crysis 3) on my Pentium G1610 and my HD 7750.

Requirements were never really good to begin with; they're always vague and inaccurate. In other words moot point as to whether or not it's even worth speculating on.

You gotta do you girl. I always say you gotta do you. And if he's doing him, then who's doing you? Because right now, it seems like no one's doing you.

The game is crazy but doesn't look optimized at all.

Only because its requirements are high doesn't mean it's unoptimized. The amount of Vram required maybe is too high, but we don't know yet.

All we can say is that it takes use of the hardware (multi-CPU, lots of Vram) which hints towards a rather optimized game.

this game is solely made for Directx11 graphics cards and multi-cpu computers which is a good advantage to benefit from the smoothness of the vast high quality textures! That's pretty amazing though! But we still don't know yet if other people with low to mid-end computers would be eligible to atleast run this game at a decently playable frame rate!  :)

On Ultra @ 1080p with everything set to max: this game takes up 3GB of video memory, around 95% percent usage and 6GB ram. I really does require a lot of power. It's also CPU intensive.

woot that's nice !!! must be a very nice game, i can't wait !

Can you set afterburner to see CPU load on each core? and also wich CPU are you using to run the game?

I thought it was going to, but it's actually quite gorgeous. And let's not cherry pick screenshots, because anyone can find screenshots of any game and make it look gorgeous or ugly.

Anyway, here are more of Watch Dogs on Ultra @ 1080p:

No, more around 50% - 70%. It spreads the load over the cores. This is a game that takes advantage of HT and multi-core CPU.
