Im 100% behind Linus on this, the last thing i want is  LTT with "californian zoomer worldview"

 

The Bro culture must go on, and i disliked her from the first vid, she is too young, unknowledge to be a specialist and unattractive to be a host.

This is tech/entertainment, either you have professional knowledge people or you have an attractive host, but as 30 or 40 years old, i dont want a teenage girl to "enlighten me" about tech, i cant accept any tech videos with very young people, unless they 100% know the topic, doesn't matter if they Female or Male.

 

The fact she just came up with this nonsense, means she was looking for an opportunity to hurt LMG because she couldn't get along with the Bros.

I understand the situation, every company has the  "old Guard" and they don't need to be polite [over the necessary minimum expected from their job] nor inviting with new commers, you need to earn it like they did.

 

I mean, everything she said is a non issue, so someone told the princess she is useless and not knowledgeable [Fact], OK? Life goes on.

She broke down over nothing,i wouldn't even notice it, not even pause to think about it.

 

Maybe im missing something and zoomers have different [Kindergarten] standards and they expect everybody to be Hollywood puppets, smiling all the time, and throw them non stop compliments of how "great they are" and if someone said something inappropriate [i mean inappropriate according to Twitter zoomer logic] the head Teacher must put the offender in the corner.

Yeah I'm not an expert in whatever that would take, but I can imagine most of the technology is already there, and you could do it with already available parts and some soldering.

Not looking good how? It was a perfectly reasonable response. He said he is famous enough that any wrongdoing from him is sure to be publicized far and wide. 

 

The only sensible interpretation I can draw for your statement is that, well, you can read about it on Dexerto now. But neither that nor Madison's tweets have any substance, and they have no evidence to back them up at the moment.

I am torn between unsubbing and keep my subscription. One one hand this is extremely terrible, and on other hand, this channel has been extremely influential to me. I like gamers Nexus and other channels, but those would have never shaped me in liking tech. But Madison insident is just so illegal, untethical, and saddening. On top of that recording of 2021 with employees response to it just show the culture. Also I read about a kid and mother committed suicide because of him during ncix bankruptcy indirectly due to linus.

Not everyone has the self esteem to tell those with more institutional power where to stick it.   Madison sounds like that kind of person.  I mean thinking that the employee handbook had any legally enforcible standing beyond "here are a list of things that LTT wants you to do while you work there".  Of course LTT wants you to keep issues internal.  (If their hadbook says, or implies, or anyone of standing at LTT says or implies that a complaint to authorities about these things is cause for dismissal that is illegal). 

In fact I'm going to go farther, I'm going to play a bit of devils advocate here. 
IT is a well known thing for companies to give a set of bad reviews on record for anyone they think will file a complaint.  Then they can fire them, and say "it's not retaliation they are on the way out".  Madison being told her work is "Dog ***T" etc is a very immature persons version of doing that.  

I see a lack of business maturity.  I'll gladly say I'm a looser who takes care of my decrepit parents at home, never been married.  I can't leave for a week without one of them being in the hospital once I get back from Copenhagen, (True story).  So pot meet kettle.  Plus I'm  older what's my excuse?  My excuse is my type of immaturity only effects me, and kinda helps my family.  I spend all my maturity at work.  LTT and LMG have been structured like a group of friends/ family who are friends not a company.  It needs to be a company.  It needs to be more Arasaka and less Tyger Claws. 

From someone that has also had an ailing (now deceased) mother, I don’t consider you a loser at all. If anything, I consider you a far better person than I, someone who isn’t really good at much of anything that matters. I can’t even provide so much as a little emotional support, let alone warmth and compassion, and I very much hate that. All I’ve to offer are technical skills and answers. 
 

That said, plenty of focus should also be on yourself, even should you wish to help others, it’s much harder to do that when you’re not doing well yourself. 

 

LMG is definitely going through a needed transition period, and probably a painful one at that. Linus is certainly well aware that he isn’t the right person to push through, and holding the team to, standards befitting Arasaka (love the reference btw). Clearing out the skeletons from Black Space (my own reference!), and providing proper closure, is also necessary here. 
 

If these controversies can be resolved relatively amicably, I’d imagine that this will probably inspire strong confidence within LMG towards the new leadership, and with it, stronger compliance with whatever standards and policies are put in place moving forward. I’m looking forward to see what Terren can do here.

19 hours is not too long ago for someone that has not spent every minute since the allegations came out on this forum, nor am I going to read through the aforementioned 3,000 replies. Uncritical acceptance of the allegations has been a persistent issue since this episode started. I merely urge people to use their brains and wait for something substantial, and not declare the man a monster based on hearsay. Despite how thoroughly it ruffles your feathers, this remains the only reasonable course of action for outsiders like us at the moment.

Actually I have never had an Alt account. You can ask any forum mod you want. The IP I'm connecting from is a residential IP (my own). 

 

I was drawn to this community due to the controversy. I've been watching Linus for a while tho.

If that was the case, they wouldn't be using the hosts they do. I'm not intendibf that as a comment on the attractiveness of the male hosts, as I'm not attracted to men so I can't judge that at all, but if LMG had a goal of presentation via attractiveness they'd be catering their hosts to the audience's inherent desires.
