I asked aria about the cooler and they sent me a link to this picture. Anyways there are 2 left, they are used but they have warrenty so its pretty good, also arianet clean the sh** out of stuff they have, eg changing paste, dust removable. 

 

Also a GTX 570 for £66

Would the 570 be worth it over a 6870? Maybe try and sell the 6870 on ebay for as high as i can, £50 maybe?

I ahve a 580 reference cooler. It's good. It pushes most modern games on High settings with little AA. I OCed mine by 7.5%. If those cards have new thermal paste, dusting AND warranty on them, i would definitley grab one, as they are good cards. For 580 VS 570, I'd probably pick the 580. Both cards have a goode re-sale value. It also depends if you are planning to keep it for longer or just as space holder until 20 nm GPUs.

 

I'd say 580 either way because it's that bit stronger. On the other side, the price/performance ratio is obviously better on the 570.

 

Edit: feel free to ask me more stuff about the 580. btw. i have a 1920x1200 resolution.

It depends purely on what type of games you play. The GTX 580 will trash the 670 in any DX9 or 10 based game, but the GTX 670 will perform just above the 580 in DX11 based games. It's funny because when you look at all the numbers, there was almost no performance increase from the 500 to 600 series, what they did was redesign the architecture to optimize it for newer software but at the same time they killed its ability to play older games. It's one of the reasons I won't be getting rid of my GTX 580, even after my next upgrade.

Think i might go for the 570, and try and sell my 6870 for as much as possible.

 

I'll eventually be getting something more powerful in september, and the 570 will be moved into my secondary PC.

 

OR i might just move the 6870 to my secondary PC and sell the 570 when i upgrade.

That's unfortunate, I considered buying one, but I don't have the rest of a PC and won't for a few months at least... It was just to give myself some more time to save for a decent GPU and spread the costs. Oh well, hope you get it sorted mate :/

The US is 4th, UK is 17th, that said I am on a better wage than that (since 2 months ago now I am on £17000pa) but I know many that arent, Plus on top we pay way higher taxes and products tend to be more epensive too. Genreally less disposable income

Well looks like good news, just received a message from Aria, saying i will be getting a Brand New replacement! No specifics as to what card, but i'll be happy if its another 570.
