Problem is, I'm not even skinny and my hair's super stubborn and has the tendency to frizz up. I can't get it growing as long as his before it warrants to my parents a haircut. I'd have to fight them verbally (and hopefully not, but maybe physically) to grow it out even if it'll still look like a mess no thanks to my laziness, in part.

 

I also wish I could appreciate this:

I was thinking about how people hate on Apple so much, and cite building a closed ecosystem of software that can only run on Apple products (despite the market covering many consumer-level use cases for a very long time). While "making things thinner for the sake of it" I can get behind as silly, the former argument doesn't make much sense to me.

 

In line with disapproving of such behavior, the aforementioned group of people should also voice concerns against:

- DirectX. (OpenGL and) Vulkan support(s) most platforms. Compare to DX12's W10/Xbox restrictions

- Oculus Rift. Unlike the Vive, they've had some publicity issues with DRM, copyright, exclusives

- CUDA. It only runs on NVidia hardware. OpenCL runs on AMD and NVidia cards, also accelerators like Phi

 

But obviously, your overall stance on these technologies is likely more nuanced than how open the ecosystem is!

Current: i7 990x / GTX 950 / 12 GB RAM / Micro ATX

Waiting for the next amazing Mini ITX case!
