Star Wars! ...Headphones?

I found this on the front page of Newegg today, my immediate reaction was lolwut.  I looked at the rest of SMS Audio's lineup on Newegg their highest rated product has one review, and their entire lineup (including a phone case) looks just as overpriced.  I certainly am not convinced by these guys, and I'm confused by the odd pairing of SMS Audio and Lucasfilm.  I just thought you guys might find it interesting or worth chuckling over.

This franchise is exceptionally well-milked and there is no end in sight.

Just watched it; I didn't know until now what that 'street' gibberish was until he said it.  So it's Star Wars/50 Cent Headphones... God help us all.

It's novelty items at best. Funny thing is, in the newegg site, I clicked on the specifications, hoping to find details like driver size, impedance, sensitivity etc, but found none of those at all....

Looking at the SMS Audio website it seems they have 40mm Drivers

Yeah, 40mm drivers is about the most technical thing I can find out about them, I mean, they do flashy branding alright but I'd never buy them.

Also If anybody wants more media about them Unbox Therapy did an unboxing of the Storm Trooper version.

I'd imagine they'd sound decent at least. But as a novelty item, I tend to see their prices as 75% for the novelty, 25% for the value itself. Meaning roughly, it'd be comparable to a $50 headphones (perhaps comparable to cheaper ones). The other $150 goes to its novelty values.
