Can an nh-d15s handle a 13900k?

I want to know if my nh-d15s can handle a 13900k because I currently do not want to do water cooling.

I dont mind tuning it to make it run at good temps. Like tuning voltages, fan curve, and everything else I can (I will also disable hyper threading and e-cores).

I will be primarily gaming so the load and temps wont be too high.

It Can cool the 13900K. You might not be able to Overclock and you might want to Undervolt it. But At that prize get a AIO and properly cool that CPU. if you are disabling ht and e-cores and undervolting at that point get a 13700 or 13600

The D15 is will definitely do the job. It's on par with most AIOs that are worth looking at.

Idk if I would undervolt, maybe disabling e-cores, ht, and also turning up fan speeds would be enough. I want the 13900k for the higher speeds so I want to try it out first and if my temperatures are bad then I will upgrade.

Good AIOs are expensive so is there any ways I could get more out of my current nh-d15s?

The NH D15 is fine For it if you are not doing overclocking.

then you practically have a 7700x, why bother getting a 13900k?

plus disabling hyper threading wont give you much power saving.

If your case has good air flow, a NH-D15 should be more than enough for a 13900K. But really if you feel the need to upgrade beyond the NH-D15 you should maybe consider an AIO. I get they’re expensive, but if your getting a 13900K I would expect you would have the cash for a nice AIO. Unless you’re taking your existing NH-D15 and moving it to the 13900K system, make sure you have the right mounting hardware for the socket if that’s the case.

I have 3 intakes and 2 exhausts so I should be fine there.

Im just swapping the cpu, mobo, and ram everything else stays except my gpu which I will also be upgrading.

I dont really mind that AIOs are more expensive, its just that they have more points of failure and stuff like that.

idk about intel but on ryzen undervolting can improve performance quite a bit...

thats blasphemic...

but the cooler should be ok, although there are probably better ones, maybe you could upgrade the fan? thats noctuas weakness... they're all about the silent thing... there are definitely stronger fans available (and probably better coolers altogether)

don't get me wrong,  im all noctua'd up, but i also don't have intel chip that runs hot as the sun...
