Looking for laptops with specific requirements.

Hi all,

 

I'm looking for a laptop with specific requirements, and it is extremely diffcult to find one now that has the same number of ports as my old laptop.

Where did all the utilitarian laptops go???

Would be great if anyone came accross 1.

My previous laptop was a Lenovo Y580 (It has 4x USB Type-A ports and a ODD too!), and it has all of these less the USB Type-C.

Reason being i hate having to buy and bring dongles around, and play with multiple iot devices otg.

 

My requirements are:

Less than 2.5 KG or 5.5 lbs

At least 3 USB Type-A

At least 1 USB Type-C with DP & PD

1x RJ45 LAN

1x HDMI

2x SODIMM slots

Backlit Keyboard

Numeric Pad

Normal sized SD Card Reader

The closest i could find is the XMG NEO 15:

Or HP ProBook 455 G8, it comes with all of that, except a SD Card Reader (only MicroSD).

And HDMI is only 1.4b, so maximum 2560x1600 @ 60 Hz, 4k only at 30 Hz.

 

 

There aren't many Laptops anymore with 3 USB-A Ports, and i think almost none with 4 of them.

Most people just don't need that many at once, and the World is already way too long in the Transition to USB-C, so Type A is getting less, while Type-C is getting more.

And those few, who need so many Ports, can simply add them with external Adapters.
