Looking for a good headset for PC in the $100-$150 price range

Drop + Sennheiser PC37X or PC38X, Sennheiser Game One or Game Zero.

The PC37X/Game Zero headsets are 'closed back' (good noise isolating with somewhat compromised surround sound) while the PC38X/Game One headsets are 'open back' (compromised noise isolation with wide surround sound).

Hello! I recently built my first PC, only to find out my wireless Xbox headset is not compatible with it. Could anyone recommend a solid headset for PC in the $100-$150 price range? Wired would be preferred, as I kinda hate my Xbox headset (lol,) but I’d be willing to consider wireless

Edit: it doesn’t need to be in that price range. The cheaper the better! I’m just trying to set a maximum price for myself.

Thank you!

I'm a personal fan of Sennheiser, I've also heard excellent things about the Beyerdynamic set but I'm not sure what they cost. I'd strongly recommend checking out HardwareCanucks channel. They do extensive testing of headsets, and have a lot of comparison videos where they have examples of mic quality etc.

I don't recommend anything with BS "gaming" marketing. just get a decent pair of headphones and put an inline mic on it. once you stop looking for headsets and start looking for headphones, the quality skyrockets.

do you specifically want headphones, or are earbuds ok?

Thank you all for the feedback and suggestions! I have decided to go with the Sennheiser PC37Xs! I have heard great things from them (a friend of mine actually owns a pair, don't know why I didn't consider them!). Looking forward to putting many years into them!

Great choice, I've actually been eyeing a pair of PC38x's for myself!
