Best video editor for someone with poor vision?

Let me preface this by saying I can see, but that my vision is poor due to my eye disease (keratoconus if anyone is curious). I am unable to easily see small text/objects/icons/buttons/ect. Generally this stuff is a blurry mess, which is why finding the proper video editing tool is difficult for me.

what is the best professional video editor that has the widest range of UI resizing or already larger UI? Adobe, Sony Vegas, Hitfilm, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, ect

Only saying this since you did not mention it yourself but how about using the Windows resolution scaling feature?

All of them should work with the various accessibility systems you would need. This sounds more like a platform question because such things will be part of the OS.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

i have never seen any difference in the adobe suite using windows accessibility and/or scaling settings. Specifically Premiere Pro seems to only run in its eye squinting 5K UI scaling. never worked in windows 8.1 , windows 10, nor windows 11 which im in now. tho i have actually never tried windows scaling with DaVinci Resolve. ill give that a try

If the condition is getting so bad that glasses do nothing surely the only thing that would actually help would be surgery?

Rather extreme answer there when OP just needs a video editor that scales properly.

My eyes see the past…

My camera lens sees the present…

The condition is progressive and does require surgery.

tbf google is wrong, glasses already do nothing for my disease and no eye professional would even bother trying them haha.

I’m going with the OP and actual person on this one, and still, the question isn’t about the eyes, they are just explained as the problem here.

Which is a crap disease I’m sorry to hear @SenpaiServs

Generally they only help in early stages and even then it’s very specialised lenses. Sorry you have to put up with it dude

Final Cut does generally have larger and simpler UI elements compared to Adobe Premiere Pro. Though I can't say if it's going to completely solve your issues because there are still many small symbols and icons. I did just check and they all scale as expected with the computer's UI scaling settings.

I wouldn't often recommend it, but you should consider iMovie. It lacks the typical editor UI and many see this as a detriment, but for this reason it may fit your use case nicely.
