yes compressing your drive changes the text to blue so you can identify compressed vs uncompressed content

Its bad to compress data on an SSD.

It shortens the SSDs life expectancy if the SSD has compression built-in. Not all do.

Is a colorful OP and high energy electropop really the best choice for an anime titled "gangsta" set on the premise of probably being about illicit activities and underworld life?

Great way to give me a negative impression after starting the first goddamn episode.

Leave it to anime to fuck up something so well established

mother of fuck that was cringeworthy

This goes on the list of OPs I absolutely hate

Holy shit Japan

Colorful ? High energy ? It was black and white and they looked depressed af in the OP.

@BashZeStampeedo Have you watched K: Return of Kings?

I would like to hear some opinions (from anyone) :D

For some reason I find the 2 episodes decent at most... It's like that I can't "feel" the characters. They just seem so distant and their personalities are just so...artificial I guess :D

Lol, anyways something feels so odd and the story isn't really proceeding  at all  Even though I liked K anime especially because it has beautiful animations it's beginning to feel pretty bad... Even the fan-service is bad ;) Hopefully some things will change when Yashiro Isana (Silver King) will come back  (Going to watch ep.3)

Wat do u mean?

TL;WR: a single NAND chip dying effectively equals dead SSD.

Compression disables the safeguards protecting against that.

You said it shortens it's life time ? On what scale do you measure the life time of an SSD ?

It shortens the SSDs life expectancy. Not lifetime (though kinda the same thing).

You measure it in terms of read/writes.

And the answer to "how much?" is "significantly".

From what I hear about the light novels, apparently they aren't family.

that is what I have been assuming from the start although I have not read the novels for confirmation but it just seemed like that was likely the case.

Guys, What is the probability that SSD will lose data?

I read that in 20 degrees in about 2 years it loses data and in 30 degrees ~ 1 year.

I don't really remember specifically what I read but I am just not enable to understand it clearly :D

Is it just that it "might" lose data with a higher margin?

Basically it's the same as a car battety leave it for a while and it loses it's charge and when that happens you kiss your data good bye.

1 year is what GN said is when the charge will be lost for consumer SSDs.

By leave it I mean like unplugged with no power source.

Early SSDs had some problems regarding that IIRC, but modern SSDs will live 5+ years easily without loosing data with normal usage.
