Kids react to: Sony Walkman

TopWargamer

They should have showed them how a cassette tape was used to load games on a ZX Spectrum.

Cassette was to audio

What the 56k modem was to Internet connections

Everybody knew they were crap, but it was the best option we had till something better came along!

Praise the Compact Disc and praise the DSL modem!

The problem with children these days is they are dumb! I have 32 and way back in the day we have to solve our problems, now everything is a gift, nothing is conquered!

People who were born in that era and know how to use it and are somehow 'proud' of themselves and blinded by nostalgia not realizing times have changed in 3....2.....1....

3 pages full of them already!

Ahh, that was a clutch year, one more year and you wouldn't be a 90's kid. I don't consider anyone >=1997 a 90's kid

90s kids are those who had their childhood in the 90s, not the ones that were born in the 90s. Roughly said the generation from 1985 to 1995. Personally I think even 95 is way too high. You would be 4 years old in 99, I wouldn't call that much of a 90s kid. Although I was born in 93 I do consider myself a 90s kid because here's the thing - My country stopped being socialist in 89 and a lot of the things that were happening in the west came here with a delay. When I was 7 years old I was playing on NES games. Actually it was Famiclone - a replica of the NES that costed 15 $  lol

You are 1,5 years older than me and didn't get to use a walkman? I found one at home quite a bit late, when we were dreaming of CD players already (ikr? :D ).

It should still work, however some old batteries spilled inside and I never cared enough to look into it.

I swear that was the same Walkman I had when I was 13 or 14 years old. I did have a Sony Walkman before that one and I remember I was skate boarding and fell right on top of it and was amazed it still worked and it only had a crack where the belt hold was. Tech back then was so much more robust, and would take a liking and keep on ticking like my Timex watch that had a crystal face on it and was ran over by a car and that still work as well.

I started off with my mom's hand me down receiver that had an 8 track player and a record player on it. 8 track was fazed out when I got it (I was 10) but I was still able to get records back then and I already had a few cassettes and at 10, you figure out how to hook up a Walkman to a receiver back then, hell, my whole family thought I was some kind of genius. but really I was at a store and saw a headphone to RCA adapter at radio shack and figured it out that you plug them together to get it to work. That started off my love for tech.

Oh yeah, that receiver only had the RCA type speaker plug in and then my aunt gave me a pair of way better speakers to use but they didn't have RCA. I took the exposed wire and shoved the gold one into the middle of the plus and duck taped the silver wire to the outside of the plug.

They don't know what headphones are, have they ever used an MP3 player? I bet these are the turds you find blasting their crappy music out on the bus ride into town.

Also why is everything old from the 90's? It wasn't that long ago, I grew up through the 90's and still in my 20's :(
