Hello from Australia, I have to say this build is so amazing, inspiring and pornographic at the same time!

I love the carpentry work that has gone into this, I'd love to do a build like this however I need a more "portable" option so to speak.

I'm still trying to find something more portable in ideas.

Your build has been so inspiring, my wallet does not like you however hehe, I just bought a new router and sander for the project I HOPE to start soon and get as good looking as yours  :)

Can't wait for the next update, also hope your Sam gets better soon  :)

Yeah, I agree about that portable bit. If I were to move house it would be such a pain to lug this around to the next place! Though once it is settled I probably don't have to even touch/move it so for me it'll be all right.

You do not really need a big wallet to BUILD the desk as such, I guess I was lucky that all my timber was free as it was recycled from many places. But good to see that you have those parts! Take a lot of time practising on wood with the router as it a difficult thing to get the hang of without having a play around with it.

Vet called us an hour ago and said he is doing all right; so hopefully he comes out well in 2 days time :)

not sure if srs? there are pages of this thread that clearly show me building it from scratch!

Not sure why the wood thickness matters? Let me know what you mean and explain and I will answer your question :)

Thanks matey! I guess I have been doing small projects over the last few years but have always had a natural talent at building stuff out of anything. This really is my first big project!

Forget build of the week. This is going to the be build the year when it is completed.

A shame there isn't a section for that ;)

Been following this build forever.. Enjoying the progress   :)

I dream of 0s and 1s folding to my every command,

algorithms seeping from the back of my head when I need them.

Just it seems thick and extra cuts need to be made to thin the wall down for screw thing purpose?

I think he's not understanding the reason why you made the fans and stuff recessed. I think he thought you did it because the screws are too short, but you did it so it looks flush and better.

OH, if that is what he meant then that is correct. I did it for looks, I can get screws at any size I want so screw/bolt size is not a problem :)

You just touched slightly on this, but what is your plan with cable management? For instance the 24 pin and the power to the GPU's. How do you plan on running them to make it look neat and nice?

Just awesome job. It's really interesting to follow the process.

If a case manufacturer released a desk like this...

Just think about it.
