Any GPUs you can actually buy right now?

Arael

Hello, christmas is coming up and im going to probably have a budget of around 700-900 dollars this year. Im wondering if theres any gpu that kind of stays in stock. The issue is, im not ordering it lol, its cringe but my mom does all the christmas shopping. And if the day she decides to buy everything the gpu that i told her to get isnt in stock or is way over priced, she wont buy it. Im currently running an RX 580 and it doesnt really meet my standards anymore, and for this year i REALLY wanted a gpu upgrade. So i guess im in a hard place, do i spend say, 700 dollars on a RTX 3060? Or do i upgrade the rest of my system and stick with an RX 580 until the prices go down in probably a decade. I dont care if its a pro owned ebay listing, or if its "outdated" ie 10/20 series. Aslong as its better than an RX 580 i dont care.

a 580 is not a bad card.... an interesting thing you can do though is auction it. The 580 is prized by miners for more than most cards. They under clock them and get the power to hash rate very low. I was able to sell mine on ebay for over $400( granted mine was 8gb ,I had the box and it was near pristine.) check prices of your model . I kind of agree , if you are looking to upgrade you should buy a whole new system ..check out gamers nexus they are reviewing whole systems right now

Upgrade the rest of your system, there is no GPU worth buying that a Typical mom will be able to buy let alone someone knowing what they are doing.

Yeah, on 2nd thought thats probably what im gonna do. My mom listens to me whenever it comes to computer stuff(im basically the in house geek) but i feel like she might trip up this year considering how awful everything is. Gonna be getting a Ryzen 5600x, new cpu cooler, new faster 3600mhz ram, new psu, new 1tb nvme ssd(im a storage freak) and a new keyboard.

It depends where you live, i am in Canada, and went into Canada Computers last week and they actually had GPU's on the shelf, many 6900XT, but also a 3080ti and a few 3070ti.  Not sure how long they last but seems GPUs are starting to be around a little more.

You're likely right about price per performance, but I often see a bit above 900, which is stretching the OP's budget. Hope that the OP can find something that works well!

Which Sellers/Vendors are the most trustworthy? And I would get a NIB product?

his budget is $700 then a 3070 is way off guys.... a rx580 with 8gb will smoke a 1050ti.

and a rx580 is still a very respectable card.

granted it is worth more now because it is a mining monster  and can be under clocked , under volted and over clock the memory

I paid 180 for mine and sold it for 450 on ebay... still there is no reason to sell it just to get a over priced 3060 or 3070.

and definitely not a 1050ti

I am not sure if you should just weight.... what is the rest of your hardware...

a ryzen 5600 is a great cpu, but if you have a 3600 then it is not worth upgrade IMHO
