iOS 15 ruined my vacation!

iOS 15 is finally out, but I’ve already been using it for months now. Is it really ready for prime time on your iPhone and iPad, or should Apple have given it a bit more time to mature?

I installed iOS 15 and then downgraded to iOS 14.8 because iOS 15 breaks Geometry Dash.

So no, no iOS 15 for me yet.

Maybe in 2024 once Geometry Dash 2.2 is out.

I feel Anthony's pain so much...

I miss jailbreaking (can't due to work apps) for all little annoyances.  I have so many things that worked for me back in ios5/6 days that STILL ISNT AN OPTION.

But Apple just keeps the 'we know whats best, shut up' attitude going...

No one in their right mind installs beta software on a production system.

This is Systems Admin 101.

Everyone who tries to install Windows 11 on launch day needs to take Sysadmin 101

Everyone who is even thinking of installing Windows 11 needs to be reminded it's gonna be like Windows ME, Vista, 8....you see they tricked us by calling it 11, you'd think you're safe with the odd numbered version like you were with Windows 7...but no, you're not.

Hey, the BS CPU requirements alone should be a giant red flag that this OS is gonna be pants from the word go.

I mean, this, but while my phone is a production system, the best way to review something like this is to live with it. The main thrust of this video is that while I lived with these issues during the beta after being optimistic about the new features before, I very much still do not feel like this is anything more than beta software, and that is especially important for iOS because users typically upgrade very quickly after a new release.

Listening fatigue?

I didn't know it was a thing.

I can sit with headphones all day and no fatigue.

For a YT or blog review, absolutely. A reviewer who is honest will list all the issues and warnings about a reviewed software, so the readers know what to expect.

Putting in the title of "this update ruined my vacation" seems to indicate you did exactly what Sys Admins should never do.

Granted I haven't watched the video yet (blocked at work) but the title would indicate (unless it's clickbait) you did a no-no.

How do I contact LTT about this or should I?
If anyone is wondering, at 9:25 on this -- video -- there is this text doc displayed and it looks like an ad or something, idk. but the website mentioned is wrong. It says imcdb.com instead of imcdb.org.
Why is this bad? Well the .com site redirects you to simcast.com, a sketchy looking "news" site. and searching simcast on google reveals porn sites. I think they just made an error here so I'm bringing attention to it.

I just made an account here because I'm not sure how to contact them, maybe someone from the community can help, sorry if I posted in the wrong section I've never used a forum before.

it's not anything prevalent to the video. you might be the only person who sees a random URL in a video that has nothing to do with the content and immediately goes to it to check it's validity.

That’s not really a mistake, it has no relevance to the video. It’s just personal notes.

It's not really significant but it's still in the video. It's a simple mistake and I want to bring attention to it.

Meanwhile I was scanning a QR code with my phone in a game when I spotted it years ago (I think it was Alan Wake)... People check things out even if they are seemingly useless and random.

Yeah it runs perfectly fine and hasn't been buggy at all since the second dev channel release. Stop drinking the koolaid.
