Xbox Series X / PS5 vs PC > What is your thoughts?

if you need tell how much gaming/render raw power #XboxSX & #PS5 has against a #PC, would #Ryzen3600 with #RTX3060 or #RTX3070 be much more powerful or about equal to these #nextgen consoles? Share your thoughts.

Those GPU's would both be better than a PS5 or XSX. The CPU is similar to the consoles, but if you can find a 10400F or 11400F + B560 it would be better.

IIRC the GPU in those consoles was supposed to be around the oomph of a 2080 Ti, so closer to the RTX 3070 than the 3060. Though comparing consoles to PCs never really goes all that well, as PC games are built to cover the as many possible hardware configs as possible, whereas anything running on console can easily be tweaked for that specific hardware config, as there's at most 2-3 consoles from each OEM per generation, vs the millions of possible PC hardware combos.

i mean i like my series x for that eco system of games, and im slowly expanding into pc gaming, so i like that each has their own special purpose

Does Windows 11 will allow similar to Microsoft Velocity in Xbox SX to use less VRAM by using more SSD for textures streaming?

TLDR:  I bought RTX 3070 for $750, sold it, bought Xbox SX and now I decided PC gaming more interesting/flexible for me, so I bought again 3070 (this time for over priced $940) and now trying sell Xbox, all this within the same 6 months ...... bummer but.... we learning what we like more... my PC is Ryzen 3600/16GB 3200.

preferred method is still pc assuming the games are available on all platforms, but ps5/ xbox game pass is indeed cheaper, also picking a buncha uhd blu rays last year and still can't use it, waiting on a ps5. 

 

The gpu is about a 2080, not a 2080ti but optimized for the consoles. 

 

Getting an xbox with no pc no ps5 gives u a nice library on a budget, while pc+game pass+ps5 has everything covered

It's really hard to compare them against each other. For instance 

R6S on PS5 runs 120fps at 1080p 

With a i7 9700f and 2070 super at 1080p I average 340 fps. 

 

The PS5 is nice and all but mine collects dust, if someone gave me a good offer I'd sell it in a heartbeat.

My 9 yr old prefers gaming on the PC over the console systems because of mods. In particular lately he's been playing My Summer Car. Guess who has to help install mods? Me. I can't stand that game btw, but easy to mod.
