Can't tell if X99 or Z97

Better be z99. z97 would be OK too...

But I hope there isn't a little bit of red on that because EVGA tends to do that and ruin a good looking motherboard

The only old board that I can remember that was good was the SR-2.

EVGA's most recent boards have been really good

thats a rather fancy heat pipe/vapor chamber type piece below the socket......or its just a plain heat pipe with a cool casing.

Wow. Yes please. Are EVGA boards any good? I didn't even know they made them.

Since x58 chipset they have made great boards before then I wouldn't know as I wasn't into computers.

I am thinking x99 thats one big heatsink for z97 I would think.

its not, look at the socket it's 1150 also the massive heatsink could be due to possibly having plx chips to increase PCIe bandwhit because it seems is going to be all PCIe like their previous classified boards

this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :')

i use to have the second best link in the world here, but it died ;_; its a 404 now but it will always be here

Classified EVGA motherboard.. EVGA's Classified stuff usually brings the best possible hardware up to date... I doubt it's going to cost less than $300...

I would pay $300 for it if the features are good, but $400 or more for a Z97 board I wouldn't.
