Windows 10 won't let me install a custom driver for my AMD Radeon Graphics

I recently got a new laptop (the Acer Swift 3) and already had two blue screens, so I decided to update all my drivers. Windows 10 didn't find any, but this tool called "Driver Easy" did, so I went about installing them (manually, because for it to do it automatically you have to pay).

 

The way I did this was by going to the device-manager, right clicking the device, selecting "Search for a driver on my PC" and pasting the link to the folder Driver Easy pointed me to. This worked for everything, except my graphics card (and a PCI standard host CPU bridge, but whatever) where after a few frames of showing me the working animation it would just switch to the screen that comes up after you pick "Automatically search for drivers" and windows does not find any, saying the best drivers are already installed. I'll attach some images of what I mean below (they are in German, but I hope you can figure it out based on the layout).

I am guessing you have to disable driver signature verification. I dont know what you are trying to do here but it does sound like a useless thing for what you are trying to achieve.

Why not just download the AMD driver installer from AMD's website and let it install the drivers?

It sounds like whatever you're trying to install is a recipe for more problems. You should be getting your driver from AMD directly and nowhere else.  What is the GPU model exactly?

@SchredI want to reiterate that you really should stop whatever you're doing and absolutely do NOT follow any unsigning procedure to install some unknown driver from a shady service. 

 

If you were having problems before, you will have many, many more if you go through with that.

Failing that in some weird situations, the laptop manufacturers support page. No where else.

Thanks for you reply, disabling driver signature verification didn't work anyways, so no need to worry, haha. Thanks for you concern though!

 

I did download the AMD installer and am installing it right now, hopefully that will help. I'll update you when it's finished. The GPU is the integrated one of the Ryzen 4500U, I believe.
