It's cool sure, not very useful iirc. You don't need it and I wouldn't consider it worth buying.

So what is your choice here?

Iirc they're all good, the prime might have troubles with Ampere cards but don't take my word for it. Tbh just get whatever's cheaper.

Just pick whatever you like then. For the same price I'd probably go with the rmi1000

All the models here cost same price.

Then the RM1000i is the best pick.

That's marketing.  Doesn't mean it's better.

for 2x 3080 1000w will be tight. you might get away with it with z ryzen cpu and udervolting the gpus. one rtx 3080 can spike up to over 900w os if you stress them both they can spike up yo 1800w.

you can run single 3080 with 850w psu even if it spikes to over 900w the OPP wont shutdown the system on higher quality units.

even if you buy the rmi1000w which is high quality unit i doupt it will handle 2x3080s, single 3090 sure. 3080 and 3060ti sure. not 2x 3080s.

with 2x 3080s try to look at high quality units that are atleast 1200w or 1400w.

Z Ryzen?

I can undervolt them to 240W per one only for mining and two of 3080 works fine..

The spikes is big faulty on the RTX 30 series?

Because I looking for futureproof PSU of course..

RM1000i / Prime Gold ?

Seasonic brand.. no longer highly recommend their top models I see ..

You write 900w spikes on the 3080.. I think it is too much.. you sure?

You think spikes can happen even with undervolt only for mining?

Hey.

I was already thinking of going with RM1000i but right now I see 2 models of 1200W in same price maybe:
HX1200

BN310

The difference is the RM1000i have 10 yr warranty and the bequiet have 5yr.. and without monitoring..

Why you need monitoring for?

You can monitor voltages in UEFI of your MoBo...

Besides you will loose 1 USB 2.0 header on MoBo.

I'd go with HX since I have it.

I trust Corsair.

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

Not really important but I think it is some cool feature.. nice to have..

HX1200 costs maybe 30$ more than RM1000i
