This was a daily deal today. If you look at the config you will see why this system is so terrible and unbalanced. GT 1030 in a $1000 system! Also only 8gb of slow ram. This would be a bad gaming PC for $500. Why can't they put a 3100 and a 1660 ti in it? Or at least a 1050ti? I hope no kid who saved up $1000 buys this. This is a daily rip-off!

Well, yeah... Nothing surprising there.

For some reason, tons of pre-built AMD PCs, use 3000 Mhz RAM. Even though it's far from being optimal and it's barely a few extra dollars to upgrade to 3200 or even 3600 in some cases.

Another terrible Ibuypower "deal". 

They have been doing this for years... before the market went bad they sold a 1650 Super and a 3100 for $1000. 
 

Not to say they don’t have good deals, it’s just that on their website their deals are really bad. On retailers like best buy and Amazon, they have some okay deals. On Black Friday they were selling a system with a rx 570, a r3 3100 with a mesh front panel and a decent EVGA PSU (think it was the GD.) for $500 usd

that system has i5 2400 and gt710 for like 350$

that stuff is worth liek 100$

 

it is fun to see that they sell it as "fortnite" pc when gt710 can run it like 15-20fps at 720p on lowest. that was tested with r7 3700x

with i5 2400 the results will be even worse

Problem is, the people who buy at their site just want a PC for their children or themselves and don't know that these specs are terrible. This is as close to a ripoff as you can get.

Also funny how they show an AiO without tubes and a radiator on the first build. Or how they can fit an AiO in the budget, but not a 1050Ti or any decent GPU.

Pre builts are usually 300% or 3 times more expensive than if you'd buy every component yourself.

 

We got prebuilts here in romania for 200.000 Lei with trash configs but rtx 3080. You can make a config that's 3 times better, will last longer, will perform better, for half the price.

 

The components are usually the lowest quality of components, and some of them are outright not stated at all. Their quality is that bad. Usually for the PSU they will say 850W as example and that's it. No manufacturer, no nothing.

Perhaps this is the case in Romania but it's not a general rule. In the US I would say the markup is usually more like 25-50%. Still not good value or something I'd usually recommend, but at the moment buying a prebuilt is one of the few viable ways to get a new GPU at around its MSRP.

I listed a bunch of used i5-3570s on eBay for $35/piece a few years ago. One of these system builders ended up buying all of them in bulk. One of their configurations was a i5-3570, 1060 3GB, 128GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 16GB 1333Mhz for $800. This was back in the good ol' days when a 1060 was $140.
