What's a good cooler box for the Ryzen 5 3600 ?

nobody4324

Hello.

I just got a Ryzen 5 3600, but the stock cooler seems to not work very well. I get 42-50c idle and it reaches 90 when stressed.

What do you guys recommend as a  good air cooler for it?

No need for anything fancy. Just something that makes it 'chill' a bit lol

Well hyper 212 evo is good. Best budget one, and most likely will be good enough. Price different between RGB and normal isn't really that much.

$100 will buy basically any air cooler on the market.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

I mean i am running a 2600x on my gaming pc with a dark rock pro 4 from bequiet.... its about 100$ in the US and its a ridiculous overkill. If you are sticking to air cooling and you have 100$ to spend then you can get anything really.

Anything by BeQuiet will be great.

That being said, if you're pushing 90C out of the stock cooler, I'd legit consider cleaning it up and repasting it. I never go above 73-ish on my stock cooler

Since you are going up to $100..

My vote goes to Le Grand Macho RT.

If you are going to just use it @ stock + PBO you could run it passively. Its good for CPU's up to 90w with no fan on it. Mine is 95w @ stock and it runs just fine with no fan. It wont interfere with your ram either, so you can swap em in and out no problem or just look at the lights :D

I do have a fan on it because it cant do 120w.. which is what is displayed when its loaded @ 4500.

Even the non-Pro DR4 is plenty. I run that on my 3700X and it's sweet delicious overkill.
