The ROG Mars GTX 760 - $1000+ for a dual-760 GPU

If you can afford to spend $1000 or more on a GPU the ASUS ROG MARS GTX 760 is an interesting choice.  The two GTX 760 cores on this card are not modified as we have seen on some other two GPU cards, indeed ASUS even overclocked them to a base of 1006MHz and a boost clock of 1072MHz.  Ryan reviewed this card back in December, awarding it with a Gold and [H]ard|OCP is revisiting this card with a new driver and a different lineup of games.  They also pass this unique card from ASUS a Gold after it finished stomping on AMD and the GTX 780Ti.

I'm not familiar with the Mars line of cards, and don't know whether previous Mars cards have had dual-GPU setups.

It's certainly not as good a value as two GTX 760's, but in a two-slot form factor it's certainly compelling in some ways.

Wow I really don't get this... If you want 2 760s, get 2 760s. If you can't fit them then get a 780ti. This makes absolutely no sense at that price range.

The first time a 780ti is a better value.

But it's exactly the opposite.

A 760 MARS is cheaper than the 780Ti in norway, and a lot faster.

Where the hell are you getting that price from? This card has been out for 2 months and is available at several sites for less than $700...

Here it is as SuperBiz for $650

http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?p=AS-MARS760&c=fr&pid=eb0e5fd62d86f2f3172dc68ab9029b030d8b0ca5eacebb32c576097feabe4dd6&gclid=CPmSsKjFpL0CFRQaOgodWTAAjQ

Even Amazon's limited supply is only $850

I have yet to actually find a 760 Mars going for $1,000

I bought 2x 760s at launch and paid about $530 CAN. There's no way a 760 mars is worth $1000. Maybe $550 as a premium.

$1000 its cheaper than a 780 TI right now here in the UK.

$1000 is equal to £606, you can buy a 780TI for £500 - £530.
