What do I need to do to play Ultra Blu-ray on PC?

Eric Kazer

PC Specs

I5-9500

630 Graphic's on CPU have not tried this

GTX 1660 Super

Asus B360-A Motherboard

16 GB memory running at 2666 16 18 16 38 throttled by motherboard XMP enabled

I think this CPU should support Ultra Blue Ray. I have software guard enabled SGX Controlled by software in BIOS. Do I need to use the CPU onboard GPU to play Ultra Blue Ray disks and What input should I use. I have the GPU connected to ARC HDMI on my LG 50" 4K TV monitor thing. I'm running Cyber Link Power DVD 19. I get error code 1004 when trying to play Ultra Blu Ray disks.

How should I hook up? With a HDMI switch or use the inputs on the TV, HDMI ARC for Intel 630 graphics and other for Nvidia GTX 1660 Super. I think I'll need to use both.

Anyone have experience with this?

If reading a disc, you need the correct DVD reader.

Software I'm unsure about, and both might work? but why not just use the system as normal through the GPU? I guess from the little it's about, it's a higher res with like 4K blue-ray? A little search and; softwares like DVDFab Player 6, VLC Media Player, CyberLink PowerDVD 16, iDeer Blu-ray player and some others will support this? Not sure why they don't support the same reader, maybe some space differences for the amount to storage or something, don't know.

Your graphic processor doesn't support Ultra HD Blu-ray movie playback, or the driver is not up-to-date.

seems like the later 2016 consoles support this, but yes ditch it all.

Although it could help with 4K viewing experience, unless one have a really good setup and connection while allowed even viewing it at that.

Then again Nvidia with their upscaling on video through nvidia shield/TV, seems like it could be pretty good too?
