IS FRISBY 1600W PSU GOOD?

Mac8.1

I'm finding no information on a "Frisby 1600w PSU" anywhere on google.

It's not on the PSU tier list, so NO.

That doesn't mean jack squat. I'm sorry but the "tier" list isn't the end all be all of recommendations, ever.

I mean, there are good power supplies that aren't on the tier list. Regional differences play a big role in whether or not reviewers can share proper info on a unit.

But given the scarcity of literally any info on this unit, I say stay away.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

The only mentions I can find of Frisby PSU's is about their mining rig PSU's. Some of them with "90 PLUS Gold" rating, which does not exist.

That does not spark confidence in the product from me, so I would be hesitant of buying it.

If you need 1600W, this PSU will not work well for you.

If you just need a good PSU, buy a good PSU. You very very likely don't need 1600W.

What are you basing your answers on?

OP hasn't even shared the PC they will be powering with the PSU.

We don't know if they need a 1600W PSU, or 850W PSU, etc.

90 PLUS Gold

That's enough for me. I would never buy a PSU from a company using tactics like that for marketing.
