A person I know claims Xbox Series X runs at 40k/60 at ultra with Ray-Tracing... Ok first of all a RX 6800 doesn't even do 60 in Fortnite its stuck at about 25-35 and second how come next Gen version of Fortnite also come with clouds? While PC doesn't?!! What kind of dark magic and unholy soul sacrifices have Microsoft & Epic Games done here?!! O3O?

I mean ray tracing is off, they do run at 4k 60 as fortnite is pretty easy to run at lowered settings which the consoles target around medium with far view distance at that res. So basically the settings my vega 56 runs fortnite at is what the consoles run the game at.

"ultra" doesn't really apply to consoles. There aren't any graphics settings, and when there are comparisons, the consoles are always lacking. 

 

But 4k 60 with RT on and some good details? Possible. Don't forget, the consoles have a single set of hardware to optimize for, so you can squeeze every last drop of performance put of them more easily.

OK let's just say you were fully able to copy paste all the settings the XBSX has and apply them to a PC install of Fort ite with RX 6700XT how likely is 4K/60?

It's different this generation, it's pretty hard to tell. Though I doubt the ray tracing performance would hold up because the windows drivers probably need some improvement to get more performance out of RDNA2's architecture and RT performance.

OK but on paper a 6700XT or 2070S should be able to manage a 1920x1080/60fps just fine even on max?

Are you satisfied with the graphical quality and performance level that you GPU gives you? If yes, don't upgrade. If you just want "4K60", you should think about the fact that a resolution and frame rate alone doesn't make for an enjoyable gaming experience.

The 4K/60 metric is more of a long term plan to make sure the hardware is relevant since I am sure RDNA2 probably will last a whole console generation if I do not go overboard on the graphics side... 1080p ultra early, 1080p high later and 1080p medium if I wait a very long time.
