Jay has the knowledge to do it but in saying that Steve is Tech Jesus.

Jay needs it, he seems so down lately, sad to watch him like that.

Austins Audio is ALL OVER THE PLACE. Sounds like his mic settings and/or hardware is trashed.

So why is Linus telling Jay what to do every time he runs into a block and changing the terms of benchmarking when Steve takes the lead?

not sure if it's doable but it would be fun if you could switch to the stream and audio of the competitor, that's pretty fun to watch anyway.

Because he clearly needed the help.

Given this was supposed to simulate a real-world scenario, where someone built their own machine and then brought it in for problem solving, Steve had totally the right approach of totally dismantling everything and putting it all back together again. Incorrectly oriented fans and lack of thermal paste are obvious mistakes that should have been checked for first.

Fair enough! In retrospect I can see it was to keep the competition close and exciting too. A rematch will be interesting at some point.

@Jusmar: Linus stipulated there's another event in the making, much bigger then this, in a few months. Both Steve and Jay acknowledged to be there, as well as Intel being ham-fisted into sponsoring the lot live on stream by Linus.
