100-125 quid would be more reasonable, its a fine card but very power hungry. theyre great for overclocking and mine handles 1440p pretty decently.

150 pounds is pretty much the going rate, so it's a fair price but it ain't a friend price.

Give a pal a cheap GPU for goodness sakes!

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

I'm looking at upgrading my GPU, a friend has offered me his old MSI 980TI for £150 (UK), the card is immaculate but is this a good deal? Is 980ti still decent in 2020?

150 GBP is too much, if it was 150 euros then i'd have said nothing.

You’d be better off saving up a bit more and buying a new card. It may look immaculate but you don’t know how much life it has left in it. It could last 6 months or 2 years, you never know.
At least with a new card you have a warranty and a newer architecture which will age better than an old card.

Seems a bit expensive to me but not unreasonable. My daily driver is a i7 3770k @ 4.4ghz with a 980ti and as above, handles most stuff with no issue, especially at 1080p. Things like GTA V and Red Dead 2 are no issue at 1440p on high settings. Still a decent card for 1080p gaming in 2020 tbh.
For reference, I paid £125 for mine via ebay auction 2 years ago, so global pandemic and UK recession aside, I'm not sure i'd go to £150 for it.

Even my 980 is still ok with 1080p. The psychopaths in my city are asking 300 CAD for their 980Ti's.

I paid 200 for my Classified 2 years ago.. just had a loose fan 🤭

Yes this card is still relevant. Most gpu cards are good for about 5years + pending on your preferences.

I run both a 960 and a 1080 in my rigs they work pretty well. 👍
