I'm currently in the process of buying parts for my next build but I'm having a really hard time deciding on the case to get. I've pretty much narrowed it down to either the Define 7 Compact or Meshify C. Of course I would like to get the best possible thermals while being as silent as possible.

My build will be a Ryzen 5 5600X + RX6800XT with the stock CPU cooler replaced by a Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black. Regardless of which case I pick I'll also be replacing the stock fans with 2x Noctua NF-14A chromax.black in the front and a NF-S12A chromax.black in the rear.

I could currently get the Meshify C for 55€ + shipping vs 100€ for the Define 7 Compact so the Meshify would be significantly cheaper though the Define 7 is a much more modern case with for example front panel USB-C which the Meshify lacks. I also prefer the looks of the Define 7 although the Meshify looks good too.

One case that I also was considering is the Phanteks P400A but those only come as windowed versions and I want a case with solid side panels.

Choose which you like best. We (well I) can't really recommend a case for you, pick a case that best suits your requirements (white colour, USB-C, tempered panels, etc.)

I can tell you that's a VERY good price for the case.

Define 7 Compact is definitely a bit more up to date with the I/O. Hopefully within 2021, Fractal will launch an updated Meshify C based on the Define 7 Compact frame as they did with the larger versions.

I've decided to go with the Meshify C. Thinking about it really the only reasons I had to choose the Define 7 Compact was its better front I/O and (imo) slightly better looks and those I can live without. Also the noise level should be acceptable even without noise isolation since everything runs cooler.

I also noticed that Fractal has just released its updated Meshify 2 cases but there's no compact version of those yet, just the regular and XL models, also I have no idea when they'll actually be available here in Finland and I'd like to get my new build ready before christmas so I can play Cyberpunk 2077 as I've chosen that as my christmas game this year :)
