Should i upgrade or stay put?

Hey guys,

I am a fullstack programmer and began also fiddling with unity , planning in branching to blender, apart from that i game at 1440p.

 

I want to get a new rig however i dont know if i even should, can you guys advise?

 

My current setup

Lenovo Y720T .. yea i know prebuilt i didnt know better at the time.

 

I7 7700

Gtx 1070

16 gb ram 2400hz cl17

Shit lenovo motherboard with no m.2

Ssd sata disks and a hard drive

How badly do you need a new setup?

I suggest that you upgrade now since all the new GPU's and CPU's came out and highly out class your current build.

The questiion is , do i have to ? Will my current build give me problems with said programs?

Thats the thing, i do not know, depending on what i want to do , should i upgrade or not?
