It is my only Apple product and I am already overwhelmed. It is just like Android for me where I do the basic tasks and hope that I do not open something accidentally like split screen 😅

Well done Microsoft your indoctrination worked😂

I can understand, although it's not too challenging — the tricky bit is taking full advantage of multitasking. Dragging and dropping between apps can require some finger acrobatics if you aren't using a mouse/trackpad and keyboard combo.

The normal Ipad for 329$ is a steal, this thing is overpriced by 100$ IMO, if you spend a bit more the Pro offers such a good value.

Yes it is a nightmare. I swipe in the bottom left corner from app to app but it often does not work the way I want. I often have to close the app via home button and open the new one

If you have a keyboard for yours, a good alternative to swiping is command + tab. That brings up a menu where you can press tab however many times to go to any of the 7 most recently opened apps.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Um... the "Scribble" feature allowing you to write directly into text fields does not originate from Windows 10's similar feature in 2018 - laptops with swiveling screens all the way back in the late 2000's running Windows Vista and/or Windows 7 were the first group of devices that consumers could easily and readily purchase with such a feature. To be clear, I'm happy we're seeing more support for alternative input methods across more devices, but if fact checking is a thing.

Desktop: KiRaShi-Intel-2022 (i5-12600K, RTX2060) Mobile: OnePlus 5T | Koodo - 75GB Data + Data Rollover for $45/month
Laptop: Dell XPS 15 9560 (the real 15" MacBook Pro that Apple didn't make) Tablet: iPad Mini 5 | Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 10.1
Camera: Canon M6 Mark II | Canon Rebel T1i (500D) | Canon SX280 | Panasonic TS20D Music: Spotify Premium (CIRCA '08)

So you're at $1700 for a "laptop replacement" when you can buy a XPS 13 for LESS THAN HALF. And that's not even the cheapest laptop. Even a 2-in-1 can be had for around $1000 when it's on sale with a discount.

Might want to hold my beer while I rewind that clock a decade and check - yes, those $500 premium netbooks were the "iPad killers". And that assessment hasn't changed. I can still do more with a laptop, even a 10 year old one, than what is possible with a tablet. Bang for the buck vs. expensive tech bling.

If any tablet is a laptop replacement that distinction would go to Microsoft's Surface Go purely because it runs desktop Windows and has native 4-way keyboard/mouse/pen/touch functionality. Even the older Surface Pro 2 from 2014 was capable of not only replacing your notebook but giving the average desktop a serious run for it's money too.

Stop trying to make the iPad into a laptop because IT ISN'T. It's a content consumption device not a content creation device. All those douche bag hipsters complaining that Adobe etc.. doesn't work - learn to use the right tool for the job!

Unless YOU are the tool with Tim Cook's hand so far up your rectum he's moving your lips.

Disclaimer: I am not an Apple hater. I have owned more than one iPhone.

no it dosen't, Pro has 6GB ram and starts at 128GB, more Storage option, better speakers, 120hz..ect. Overall, it's overpriced, 256GB air costs more then the 128GB pro, 64GB is unusable in 2020. SOC speed is barely better, used pros offer so much better value, if you want to save more money.
