Is my HDD dying?

CrystalInfoDIsk shows me this: "health risk: risk".

 

 

while my NVME says is healthy.

 

Should I worry about this? my HDD is like 10 years old already.

Yes just get a new HDD or maybe even nvme. By the way, your ram kit has a 'hidden' xmp profile for 17-17-17-35@4000mhz, 1.45v here are the timings from Aida 64

Oh yeah, your HDD is dying alright.

 

Try your hardest not to use it at all. Get a new HDD and clone this one to the new one. Use a tool like EaseUS Todo Backup to clone it.

 

(Don't copy + paste the files when you do this because that puts way more stress on the HDD than a sequential clone. You want the process as smooth as possible).

 

If you can have the HDD not run at all until the backup one arrives, even better.

Wow, yeah that's an old drive. You've used the equivalent of 2.4 years constant use. Or approx 6 hours a day for 10 years.

As @Energycoresaid above, might be best to purchase a new drive to clone onto... if not you risk losing your data, or at the very least makes it much much harder and expensive.

It's likely NVMe isn't worth it unless you're booting off it. If it's just for file storage then get yourself another HDD or a SATA SSD. Western Digital Blue are a good bet.

 

On the NVMe side, a 970-Evo is commonly recommended though they aren't the cheapest.

That looks like interface is in Spanish and I'd say the yellow dot down on the list seems to say "pending sector count" which is generally a bad sign for any drive... If you have anything important on the drive I suggest you slowly move it elsewhere.

Not on current gen games. Both SSDs come with a 5 year warranty Get the crucial if it's much cheaper. Where I'm at it's only 10 USD cheaper.

Not very likely that you'll see much difference, games haven't really taken full advantage of the faster NVME drives yet IIRC. 

 

As for how long will it last, that depends on usage more than anything, other than if it develops a fault of course. With SSDs it's usually related to how many writes it does, for that drive it's rated at approx 640TB TBW, so approx 640 total writes of the entire drive space.

My M2 Xpg Sx8200 1 TB  arrived!  What free software do you recommend to clone? Also, is it possible to exclude 1 (500 Gb) folder I can´t clone because I'm gonna copy a 1tb hdd to my older 480 Gb m.2.
