Lenovo w530 not compatible with ultrawide monitor

My mom got an ultrawide 3440x1440p monitor but in display settings it only shows 1080p. I tried getting nvidia control panel but it says its not compatible with the nvidia drivers and when I try to install the drivers from the nvidia website lenovo blocks the install. I then checked for display drivers on the lenovo website using the bridge thingy and it doesn't show any.

You can’t install generic video drivers on laptops if they have both dedicated and integrated graphics. Otherwise graphics switching would not function properly.

@spartaman64 Are you making sure that you have the correct monitor highlighted in display settings? Also make sure you’re not using “mirror” mode since that restricts you to the laptop’s resolution.
