More RAM, and an SSD. Without telling us the model of the laptop, I can't point you in the right direction for more RAM

Look at your disk usage,it's not RAM you need, but a SSD.

Your hard drive is struggling.

Your computer is not bad, the processor is decent and it has good graphics.

When looking at your memory though, I noticed you only have 4GBs.

This is probably what is causing it to be slow.

You probably want to consider upgrading it.

What is the model of the laptop?

System

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

Case: Phanteks eclipse P400A

Motherboard: MSI B550 Gaming Carbon WiFi

GPU: MSI RTX 3060 TI Gaming X Trio

RAM: 16GB XPG D60G CL16 3200MHZ

PSU: Sharkoon SilentStorm Cool Zero 650W

Storage: Crucial P2 1TB

it looks like your hard drive usage is going 100% so that slows down everything when booting up the system. You can get a ssd to make it boot faster or you can remove unecessary programs when startup

The problem is your hard drive...

SSD is the solution.

Sort of, Google lists the laptop, but not the manual on specs, nor how to get into the laptop to upgrade the RAM.

Where did you get it from? It's not a name brand I am familiar with.

Swap the HDD out for a nice SSD. Bump the RAM to 8GB or 16GB. Your machine will FLY after that.

I have no idea where to look and what to look for any advice ie links to pages if possible? Fed up of this slow ass machine lol

PCSpecialist is like Sager or XoticPC, but they sell custom laptops for the UK market.

There should be a model number under it. Note it down and look it up for a guide on how to do it. My brother has a PCSpecialist laptop and upgrading his machine wasn't difficult, there's a maintenance hatch to remove to get to it.

Typically RAM slots are located on the underside of the laptop. Power it off, unplug it, remove battery (if possible) and post a pic of the underside of the laptop, let's see what we are working with here

Ok, the left most slots are where your RAM goes. Only one slot is occupied, a safe bet is get an identical stick for a total of 8GB of RAM, which will help.

Below the RAM slots is the hard drive, that could/should be replaced with an SSD

You have an option between adding more RAM with your current module. Or both with an upgrade to RAM capacity and be in dual channel (which I'd go for). For the HDD, swap it out for an Crucial MX500 or a Samsung EVO SSD. You'll have to clone or fresh install when you do though.

Those two metal latches on the sides of the RAM can be gently pulled apart to release the module. And the HDD will be in a caddy you'd have to install on the new drive.

If you don't know how to do this sort of stuff, it's best to take it to a PC repair shop.

Thanks! Got them both out guess it’s time for a little more research and buying
