regret

What materialistic possession do you regret getting rid of? for me personally something i needed today I wish I didn't leave behind my Everlast punching bag, was like therapy to me letting out all pent up negative emotion. yes i can still go to the gym but not doing it in the middle of a pandemic...

My Maserati BiTurbo and my Lancia 037.

One was for a good reason, the other because I was dumb.

One can easily be replaced, the other...not so much.

I’m sure your wallet is very happy you got rid of them.

I made good money (well, still do but that's neither here nor there) and spent it all on myself.

Alfas, Lancias, Abarths, Maseratis, Ferraris, the occasional TVR. I've had it all.

It's just stuff. But the BiTurbo I miss the most. Saved my life on more than one occasion.

Honestly, how bad was the maintenance on the BiTurbo?  I worked at a Ferrari dealership and heard all the horror stories about the 90’s-early 00’s Maseratis and Ferraris. 
 

Side note, a friend of mine has a 355 With the license plate “NVRFIXD”

Bad. The kind of bad where you have to decide if you want it to run, or pay your rent that month...

It was the only car my mechanics tried to talk me out of owning. 

I probably should have listened to them, but the sharp angles and twin turbo sound...too hard to resist.

Plus that lovely race-inspired "reverse" gearbox.

I met a special someone driving that BiTurbo. Let me tell you, fooling around while driving at high speed, when the rear end lets go due to the turbos kicking in....a very exciting time (of a different sort) was had.

I regret a few things. Selling my 81 Delorean, selling my 68 Mustang Fastback, and selling my 71 Dodge Dart Demon.  But can't change the past.

I regret getting married.

 

I ended up getting divorced, then having to go through counselling for PTSD.  

 

That wasn't even the end of it, since my ex is now deceased. Died at the age of 27, 4 years after the divorce.

If I had any of those classics I'd never let go.

When the lawyer I found asked me how many kids, and I said 'none', and he asked 'how much property', and I said 'none', he dropped his fee from $1300 to $800.

 

I knew I wasn't getting my PC back, I knew I wasn't getting my other stuff back, I knew I wasn't getting any money back, and I darn well knew I wasn't getting my cat, so I just gave up on it all, though it still hurt.

When we found a lost Pomchi she was very sad and scared when we found her near our house.  Ever since we took care of her she's been great to me and my gf.  We tried to find the owners and she had no tag or chip.  Basically after 2 weeks of searching and placing lost dog ads on social media and local ads.  Nobody claim her and she has made us very happy.  She loves us and she's very playful. 

 

Also I drink green tea to calm down my stressful days at work.  I drink 2 to 3 cups a day.   Plus green tea is very healthy as well.
