My first car, a 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It was unreliable, nearly left me stranded a half dozen times, it got 7 mpg, had a few electrical problems, and ultimately the engine had a valvetrain problem and I got rid of it. But in all that, I learned how to diagnose and fix automobiles, even though I wasn't very good back then, and if I knew then what I know now, it would have a replacement long block in it and it'd be my hunting/fishing/camping vehicle still. I regret it to this day, almost 20 years later. It was the most comfortable vehicle I ever owned, and it would go anywhere. They're now also worth a small fortune in the condition mine was in.
